What's New For 2024?

The new Sierra 1500 has one major change a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax diesel engine for the AT4X trim. Other minor changes include two new wheel options and two new colors options called: Downpour Metallic and Thunderstorm Gray.

Performance

There are four powertrain options for the Sierra 1500. The base powertrain, which is attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission, is a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder that produces 310 horsepower and 420 pounds-feet of torque.

The three other engines include a 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8, a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8, and the new Duramax diesel engine outputs 305 hp and 460 pound-feet. All three engines come attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Technology
